The Wana call their shamans the Taw-Waliya. Numbering about 1, 600 people, the nomadic Wana Wewaju live in the dense equatorial forests in the Tokkala mountains on the island of Celebes in Indonesia. In this film made in 1999, Indo Pino is seriously ill. Other shamans treat her. And the filmmakers also try using medicines that they have brought from France.
